Photography workshop on the post-production process
What happens to a photograph after it’s taken is as important as capturing it. An introduction to the industry standard software Adobe Photoshop and the post-production process, focusing on editing and colour correction, and best practices for outputting photos for digital and print.
All gear supplied, with instruction on iMac editing station.
Pro workshop. Beginner or equivalent level suggested.
Instructor David Lazarus has over a decade of international experience in commercial photography. With a conversational, practical approach, David will teach you what is required to bring your photos up to professional standard, and introduce you to digital workflows and best practices for a career in the industry.
A walkthrough of the photo transfer and post-production process for digital photography, and an introduction to Adobe Bridge and Photoshop CS6. Learn photo editing and colour correction techniques, and how to work with filters and plugins to achieve desired effects. Understand colour calibration and outputting for digital and print. Students are encouraged to bring their own photos for development in this workshop.
One 3-hour session, available Mondays to Fridays at 10:30, 2:30 and 5:30.
